" The Last of Us " and " Succession " may be HBO 's most successful series in recent times and two of the channel's flagships, but another unexpected series is at the top of the HBO Max service.
According to data from Flix Patrol, the streaming service of HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery beats " Gotham Knights " to No. 3 on this week's most popular series . For a service with such a deep and long catalog of hits, it's surprising how a series originating from The CW would rank so high in viewer preferences. Maybe HBO Max subscribers are craving a dose of the DC Universe , where Gotham Knights comes from, after it's already been announced that TITANS and Doom Patrol will be closing soon.
Gotham Knights takes place after the death of Bruce Wayne, and his adopted son Batman is among one of the people accused of his murder. To "clear" his name, he joins forces with the other defendants, who are in turn, the descendants of Batman's greatest enemies.
The series stars Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan), Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Bow, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown and Rahart Adams as Brody.
The series will also star Olivia Rose Keegan of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series as Duela, who is believed to be the Joker's daughter. In case you don't know, Duela Dent was a former member of the Teen Titans and Titans East who went by the aliases “Catgirl” or the daughter of the Joker, Riddler, Penguin and other DC villains.
