Tonight, TF1 is broadcasting the film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at 9:05 p.m. A feature film that tells the s
tory of four high school students in detention who find themselves immersed in the world of Jumanji, a video game that takes place in the jungle. We thus find Spencer, the solitary geek; Fridge, the American football player; Bethany, addicted to her phone; and Martha, a shy girl.

Immersed in the video game, each of the characters takes on the appearance of an avatar that represents the opposite of their character: Spencer becomes an adventurer as muscular as charismatic, played by Dwayne Johnson, Fridge arrives in the skin of a zoologist (Kevin Hart), Bethany is transformed into an overweight cartographer (Jack Black) and Martha is now a shock fighter, played by Karen Gillan. While locked in the game, their only way out is to finish the game by defeating the formidable Russel Van Pelt, played by Bobby Cannavale.

To reflect the reality of the jungle, the film crew went to shoot in a natural setting, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Dwayne Johnson and his colleagues were able to discover the jungles of the Waimea Valley, the North Shore, and the Kualoa Ranch, as well as a nature reserve located in front of the ocean, at the foot of the mountains on the east coast of Oahu, the most exposed to the winds. However, the island of Oahu is not the only filming location since plans have also been made in Atlanta, Georgia, which represents the small town of Brantford in the film.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle airs tonight from 9:05 p.m. on TF1 and is the second film in the franchise after Jumanji in 1995. A third film, Jumanji: Next Level was also released in 2019 with the return of Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.
